Camping is permitted and encouraged on the designated area. Motorhomes have no access to the campsite. Entry to the camping area will be controlled. Every visitor is allowed to stay and sleep on the camping site free of charge for all four days of the festival. This makes 'Gampel' the largest free camping site in Switzerland.
Prohibited
- all types of furniture (with the exception of lightweight camping furniture)
- The independent lighting of fires, barbecues of any kind
- the lighting of (Bengal) flares or fireworks, laser pointers
- Spades, hoes, tools (except rubber mallets)
- Vehicles
- Photo, film, digital and video cameras with interchangeable lenses
- Selfie sticks of any size
- Weapons of any kind or other dangerous objects (firearms, stabbing weapons, knives, explosives, slingshots, etc.)
- Chemicals, flammable liquids (all sprays), pressurised containers of any kind
- Glass in any form is also prohibited
- Drones with or without an operating licence
Allowed
Because we are a bit cool, the following is allowed:
- Aluminium cans, PET and tetrapack containers (maximum 3 litres of drinks per person; one-off)
- MP3 players
- Small non-professional pocket and digital cameras
- Cool boxes
- Parasols
- Cosmetics such as perfume and deodorant
- smaller instruments
The campsite opens on Thursday, 14 August 2025 at 08:00 AM. Anyone with a PREMIUM ticket or who has additionally booked Wednesday access may already set up in the camping area on Wednesday, 13 August 2025 from 4:00 PM. If you're arriving on Wednesday, you can upgrade to a PREMIUM ticket.
The campsite features a pickup market with chilled drinks at fair prices. Free drinking water is available throughout the entire area.
Please take your tents home after the festival. This helps the environment and saves money. Help protect nature and keep the campsite clean.
Visitors are expected to take personal responsibility, and a system for independent separation of tent fabric and metal poles during disposal will be provided.
No liability is accepted for damage, injuries, or theft on the campsite.
Camping is only permitted from the age of 16, or if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
