As part of Openair Gampels' sustainability strategy, we ensure that waste is separated cleanly and that as many materials as possible are collected.
We are looking for 150 volunteers who would like to join our Zero Waste Team. For just 12 hours of work, you will receive a festival ticket and of course the opportunity to be part of a motivated and fun team.

Openair Gampel is an integral part of cultural life in Valais and Switzerland. This sustainability charter particularly concerns the environment of the beautiful Valais nature, which we want to take care of. This forms the basis of our goal to operate sustainably and fairly.
We seek dialog with all key stakeholders in order to gather ideas and focus on what is important. We listen! Together with other organizations, we aim to help develop and actively implement sustainability standards.
What we do should have a solid foundation. We focus on what we can positively influence with our partners.
We want sustainability to be clear and tangible for our visitors. Our actions should make a real impact – and be visible in everyday festival life.
We have drawn up three visions to guide us over the next few years:
We do not produce any waste, neither on nor off the stage. Everyone is responsible for their own waste.
With volunteers on site, we ensure that the site is clean so that little waste is produced and what is left behind is recycled as far as possible.

Every guest is equally important to us, regardless of their physical or mental fitness or social status - everyone is welcome here! We want to strengthen social cohesion.
